The Safetyflex security road blocker is manufactured by GME Springs, one of the UK's leading spring manufacturer. Made up of a combination of heavy duty long life steel and a unique patented spring system it is designed to block access to restricted roadways whilst still being able to open as a gate to let vehicles pass through when required. Modular in design it is easily installed and can be manoeuvred on requirement within minutes. Assembly is quick yet when in place is able to withstand multiple impacts from cars and trucks. This crash barrier gate system can be Integrated into motorway barriers so as to give emergency services fast access to accidents with its unique hinged system.
How it works
The heavy duty road blocker system can be removed or assembled easily when required. Steel boxes are concreted in the ground with a fitted lid so that they can be driven over when not in use. When the system needs to be assembled the lids can be opened, steel posts inserted and the front barrier fitted.
The unique long life spring system provides a heavy duty flexibility that will withstand extreme force from a high impact collision. When a vehicle is driven into the barrier the bar will flex and take the force of the impact, the vehicle will literally bounce off and the spring post will return to its original position.
The front barrier section is also designed to open asa gate to give vehicle access when required.
